GPAtally publishes free academic calculators and practical guides covering weighted and unweighted GPA, semester and cumulative GPA, high school and college GPA, target GPA, final-grade planning, and grade scales. This page explains the standards we try to use when creating and revising that content.

The goal is practical trust. We want visitors to understand what kind of site this is, how its content is reviewed, and what judgment still belongs to the reader, their school counselor, registrar, or academic advisor.

How Calculator Pages Are Reviewed

Calculator pages are reviewed for clarity, input guidance, result interpretation, and related links. We aim to make each tool explain the formula it uses, what the result does and does not measure, and how to use the number responsibly. Because GPA policies vary widely, each calculator notes when weighting, rounding, grade replacement, or grade scales may differ by school.

We also try to make sure each calculator page helps a visitor decide whether the tool fits their question, rather than simply asking them to enter grades.

How Article Pages Are Reviewed

Article pages are written to support real search intent and real planning needs. That means they should answer a practical question, offer examples or reasoning, and connect clearly to relevant calculators. We aim for guides that help a student act, not guides that simply restate the page title in different words.

Before publishing or revising a guide, we try to check whether it includes a clear question, useful examples, internal links, and a realistic explanation of how the idea applies to weighted grades, cumulative GPA, scholarship requirements, or official transcript calculations.

Corrections and Updates

If a page is unclear, contains a weak explanation, needs a better example, or seems to create confusion, it may be revised. Corrections matter because GPAtally is meant to improve over time, not merely expand. We would rather strengthen an existing page than keep piling up thin ones.

The updated date on a page reflects the latest editorial revision we intend to show publicly.

Limits of the Site

GPAtally is an educational resource, not a student information system, transcript service, registrar, or scholarship provider. GPA scales, weighted bonuses, rounding rules, grade replacement, pass/fail handling, and transfer policies can differ by district, college, program, and instructor. A useful calculator or guide can still require adaptation for a specific school's policy. Official results should always be verified with a school counselor, registrar, course syllabus, or student portal.

Advertising and Independence

If GPAtally uses advertising or third-party services, that does not change the editorial goal of making the site more useful. We want calculators and guides to stand on their own merit. Trust pages, support articles, and calculator pages should still make sense even without promotional framing.
